Just thought I would share a great experience I had while working at NASA this past summer!
I was contacted by my friend and the Director for Washington Aerospace Scholars, Melissa Edwards, and asked to talk with her current 2011 Summer WAS students from NASA and share my experiences.
As I'm sure everyone can tell, I welcome any opportunity to show people how these programs have influenced my life and helped my career. I really enjoyed speaking to the Washington Aerospace Scholars and hope that my endeavors and where I have come since being part of the program in 2008 will influence them to seek further opportunities.

The wonderful people in the Education Department set the whole event up. Here I stand, where almost every astronaut in the program has stood to do tele-casts with students all across the nation. What an honor.
